Customers pick a category, describe the job, give their area and a preferred date, and sign in to follow the quotes.

A Thumbtack clone is a local services marketplace that starts from the job: a customer says what they need and where, and local pros send quotes. Built with Fabricate, it is one web app made from your description, with a sign-in for customers and pros, its own database and an admin page for you.
Requests and quotes: each request has a category, a description, an area and a date. Pros who cover that category and area see it and send a price with a note, the customer compares the quotes and hires one, and leaves a review when the job is done. Messages appear live.
Money: On Pro and Max, the app can take card payments through Stripe Checkout, paid into your own Stripe account, which you connect under More > Payments. That suits a fee for each quote or a monthly plan for pros. Taking the customer's payment and paying the pro their share is not built in, so customers pay pros directly.
What is not built in: payouts to pros, a map and distance search, emails, texts and push notifications about new jobs, background checks, and phone apps from the App Store or Google Play. Photos can be shown on profiles and requests, up to your plan's storage.
