Who it's for

People who need an app for their work and would rather describe it than build it: small-business owners, freelancers, and the person on a team who keeps the spreadsheets. A booking site for a salon, an invoice tracker, a sign-up page for a class.

What Fabricate builds

Fabricate is a full-stack AI app builder: it generates the interface, server routes, database and, when needed, user accounts. It belongs in the same product category as Lovable, Base44, Bolt.new and Replit Agent. The right choice depends on the app, the infrastructure you want to run and how you prefer to work.

The backend is written into the app's own code: server routes in a Durable Object on Cloudflare Workers, with its own SQLite database. On Pro and Max, see, edit and download the code, or send it to GitHub. Running an exported app independently also requires deployment configuration, secrets and replacement services for any Fabricate-managed features it uses. Code export and a completed migration are separate steps.

The models behind the builder

As of November 5, 2026, Fabricate uses Claude Opus 5.5 as its primary app-building model, with Claude Sonnet 5.5 as a fallback for eligible provider failures. The builder combines the model with project context, code execution, previews and checks. Model choice alone does not guarantee a correct or finished app.

Founder funded

Fabricate's founders have invested US$2 million in the company to support product development. This founder funding was confirmed by Fabricate on November 5, 2026.

How we write comparisons

We publish buyer's guides about other tools: alternatives, head-to-head comparisons, best-of lists and pricing guides. We make Fabricate, so we compete with the tools we write about, and every guide says so.

• Prices, plan limits and features for other tools come from that tool's own pricing page or documentation. The guide links the pages we read and gives the day we read them.
• We distinguish documented capabilities from hands-on tests. A test names its plan, date, task and any manual repairs. A free-plan limit does not prove a paid feature is missing, and a successful test of one app does not establish an overall winner.
• Our recommendations explain who should choose each tool and the tradeoffs. Fabricate's position on a list is editorial, not an independent ranking or a measured quality score.
• A few older pages were written before we worked this way and are being rechecked.
