Softr pricing in 2026, explained

Every Softr plan, the builders, app users and records it allows, how its AI credits work, and when a team has to move up, with Fabricate's prices beside them.

Softr has a free plan for up to 3 builders and 5 app users, and paid plans at $25 a month for Basic, $119 for Pro and $395 for Business, or $19, $99 and $329 billed yearly. Each plan caps the builders, app users, records and workflow actions it includes, and extra builders and, from Pro, extra app users cost more each month.

How Softr counts AI credits, users and records

Softr's AI credits pay for its AI features: the AI Co-Builder that makes an app from a description, Ask AI and Database AI Agents. Each plan includes a small monthly allowance, 5 credits on Free, 10 on Basic, 50 on Pro and 100 on Business, and a request costs more when it is more complex or uses a larger model, input or answer: adding a single block costs less than generating a whole app. Plan credits reset each month and don't roll over. Add-ons are monthly subscriptions, from 100 more credits for $10 a month, with 200, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 at the same rate, and their unused credits roll over for one month.

When the credits run out, Softr's AI features pause, with no charge, until the month renews or you add credits, and you can keep building in the no-code editor, which uses no AI credits. Softr's pricing page says add-on credits can be bought even on Free; its AI credits doc says paid plans.

The rest of the price is people and data. Builders, who work in Softr Studio, are included up to 3 on Free, 1 on Basic, 2 on Pro and 3 on Business, and an extra one costs $6 a month on Basic, $12 on Pro or $24 on Business ($5, $10 or $20 billed yearly). App users, the people who sign in to your apps, are counted once per email across all your apps, as team users, who share a business email domain with a builder, or client users, everyone else, Gmail included: Basic includes 5 of each, Pro 10 and 50, and Business 30 and 100, with more from $1 and $2 a month each on Pro and Business. Records and workflow actions are capped by plan too, and at the workflow limit, workflows pause until the month renews or you upgrade.

Side by side at each price

Softr's plans with a monthly price, each beside Fabricate's plan closest in price. A Softr plan buys builders, app users and records, with a few AI credits; a Fabricate plan buys the credits that build apps, and the people who sign in to them aren't counted. Compare what a month buys, not the number on the plan.

What one app costs on Fabricate

Most of a month's credits go on changes, not the first build. Here is an example month on one app, drawn against Pro's 350 credits, and a way to price your own.

One exception: on Pro and Max, when your app uses AI for its visitors, answering them or reading documents they upload, each use is paid from your credits. Serving the app itself never is.

The plan price is the easy part. These four decide what a month really comes to.

  • Running out mid-month

    • SoftrAI features pause, with no charge, until the month renews or you buy an add-on, from 100 credits for $10 a month, and the no-code editor keeps working without them. At the monthly workflow limit, workflows pause until it renews or you upgrade.

    • FabricateOn Pro and Max, extra credits start at $10 for 100 and never expire, and apps on a paid plan stay online when credits run out.

  • Your own domain

    • SoftrFrom Basic, at $25 a month; each extra domain costs $15 a month, or $13 billed yearly. Softr branding stays on until Pro, at $119.

    • FabricatePro connects up to 5 domains you own and Max up to 20, with the secure padlock set up for you.

  • Traffic to the live app

    • SoftrNot billed as traffic, but app users are capped by plan: 5 on Free, 10 on Basic, 60 on Pro and 130 on Business, split between team and client users, with more from $1 a month each on Pro and $2 on Business.

    • FabricateNot billed. Serving your published app never touches your credits.

  • AI inside your app

    • SoftrSoftr's AI features, Ask AI and Database AI Agents among them, draw on the workspace's AI credits, from 5 a month on Free to 100 on Business, and pause, with no charge, when they run out.

    • FabricateOn Pro and Max, each AI answer your app gives and each document it reads is paid from your credits, and "Where your credits went" lists them for each app.

When Softr is the better buy

Softr is built for portals and internal tools on data you already keep: its apps can sit on Airtable, Google Sheets or another source as well as on Softr's own databases, workflows are built in, and you can keep editing in its no-code editor when AI credits run out. For a small team, Free covers up to 3 builders and 5 app users at $0. On Fabricate, Free builds and previews, and going live needs Pro.

Softr Business also turns an app into an installable phone app with push notifications, and Pro adds sign-in with Google, neither of which Fabricate builds. Where Fabricate costs less is an app many people sign in to: Softr counts every app user against the plan, and Fabricate doesn't count them. We make Fabricate, so we say this part plainly.

Questions people ask

Softr's answers come from its own pages, read October 26, 2026. Fabricate's come from our live plans.

Is Softr free?
Yes. Softr's Free plan costs $0 and, says Softr, is free forever: any number of apps, up to 3 builders, 5 app users, 5,000 database records, 500 workflow actions and 5 AI credits a month. Paid plans start at $25 a month for Basic, or $19 billed yearly.
How much does Softr cost?
Billed monthly, Basic is $25, Pro $119 and Business $395 a month; billed yearly, $19, $99 and $329. Tax is added at checkout. Enterprise is priced through sales, and extra builders, app users, domains and AI credits cost more each month.
What are the limits of Softr's free plan?
Up to 3 builders, 5 app users, 5,000 database records, 500 workflow actions and 5 AI credits a month, with Softr branding and no custom domain. Everyone who signs up also gets a free trial of the paid features, no card needed, and when it ends you can extend it once by choosing a plan to try.
What is the difference between a builder and an app user in Softr?
A builder works in Softr Studio, building apps, databases and workflows; an app user signs in to an app you've built. App users are counted once per email across all your published apps, as team users, who share a business email domain with a builder, or client users, everyone else, Gmail addresses included.
How much do extra Softr users cost?
Extra builders cost $6 a month on Basic, $12 on Pro and $24 on Business, or $5, $10 and $20 billed yearly. From Pro, you can add app users beyond the plan's allowance, up to set limits and billed each month: from $1 a month each on Pro and from $2 on Business.
Do Softr AI credits roll over?
Plan credits don't: they reset each month. Add-on credits, bought as a monthly subscription from 100 for $10 a month, roll over for one month if unused.
What happens when Softr AI credits run out?
Softr's AI features pause, with no charge, until your credits renew or you buy an add-on, and you can keep building in the no-code editor, which uses no AI credits.
Does Softr offer discounts or refunds?
Softr offers 50% off to nonprofits and education. It refunds in full within 14 days of the first payment on a monthly plan, and within 30 days on a yearly one.
What happens when Fabricate credits run out?
Nothing is lost: your apps stay in your account, and apps on a paid plan stay online. You can upgrade, or wait until your credits refill next month. On Pro and Max you can also buy extra credits, which never expire: 100 for $10, 300 for $27, 600 for $51, 1,000 for $80, 2,500 for $185, 5,000 for $350 or 10,000 for $650.
Is there a cheaper Softr alternative?
It depends on how many people sign in. Softr's Basic costs $25 a month, the same as Fabricate's Pro, and allows 1 builder and 10 app users; Softr's Pro, at $119, allows 60. Fabricate, which we make, doesn't count the people who sign in to an app, so a portal for hundreds of clients stays on the same plan. Softr is the better fit when the app sits on data you already keep in Airtable or Google Sheets.
