Framer pricing in 2026, explained

Every Framer plan, what its AI credits buy, and what editors, bandwidth and add-ons add to a site, with Fabricate's prices beside them.

Framer's free plan puts a site online at a Framer address; Basic costs $15 a month and Pro $45 for each site, or $10 and $30 billed yearly. Paid plans come with monthly AI credits for Framer's agents, 1,000 on Basic and 3,000 on Pro, and extra editors cost more.

How Framer counts AI credits

Framer's AI agents, which design pages, write copy, organize the CMS and translate a site, run on AI credits: a monthly allowance shared by the whole workspace. Each site plan adds its credits to the pool, so a workspace with two Basic sites gets 2,000 a month, and the allowance renews on each plan's billing date without rolling over. A prompt costs what the work behind it costs. By Framer's own estimates on its default model, a landing page takes about 300 credits, making a page responsive about 150, a large edit about 100 and a small one about 50, so Basic's 1,000 credits come to about three landing pages a month and Pro's 3,000 to about ten.

The model changes the price: against the default, Sonnet 4.6 costs 0.9x as much and Opus 4.8 1.8x. Editor helpers such as renaming layers use no credits, a result marked as bad gets its credits back, and building through your own Claude or OpenAI subscription over MCP uses none of Framer's. Basic and Pro also come in larger credit sizes, and the first month on either has twice the credits.

At 80% of the month's credits, workspace admins get a warning. At 100%, Agent chat, Workshop and AI translations pause until the credits renew, though a prompt already running finishes and no work is lost. More credits come from the AI Credits add-on, which raises the monthly allowance on its own billing cycle, and once the add-on's credits are used, from one-time top-ups that expire at the end of the calendar month. Seats are billed apart from site plans: extra editors cost $30 a month ($20 billed yearly), content editors $15 ($10), and viewers nothing.

Side by side at each price

Framer's plans with a monthly price, each beside Fabricate's plan closest in price. A Framer plan buys one website, its hosting and AI credits to build it, and a Fabricate plan the credits that build apps, so compare what a month buys, not the number on the plan.

What one app costs on Fabricate

Most of a month's credits go on changes, not the first build. Here is an example month on one app, drawn against Pro's 350 credits, and a way to price your own.

One exception: on Pro and Max, when your app uses AI for its visitors, answering them or reading documents they upload, each use is paid from your credits. Serving the app itself never is.

The plan price is the easy part. These four decide what a month really comes to.

  • Running out mid-month

    • FramerAt 100% of the month's AI credits, Agent chat, Workshop and AI translations pause until the credits renew, though a prompt already running finishes. The AI Credits add-on raises the allowance, and one-time top-ups, which need the add-on, expire at the end of the calendar month.

    • FabricateOn Pro and Max, extra credits start at $10 for 100 and never expire, and apps on a paid plan stay online when credits run out.

  • Your own domain

    • FramerFree to connect on Basic and Pro, and billing yearly adds a complimentary domain. On the free plan, a site stays at a Framer address.

    • FabricatePro connects up to 5 domains you own and Max up to 20, with the secure padlock set up for you.

  • Traffic to the live app

    • FramerCapped by plan: 1 GB a month on Free, 50 GB on Basic and 100 GB on Pro, which buys 100 GB more for $50 a month ($40 billed yearly), up to 2 TB. Go over and Framer emails you; bandwidth can run over for one month before you upgrade.

    • FabricateNot billed. Serving your published app never touches your credits.

  • AI inside your app

    • FramerNot in Framer's plans: its AI credits pay for building and translating the site, not for AI your visitors use on it.

    • FabricateOn Pro and Max, each AI answer your app gives and each document it reads is paid from your credits, and "Where your credits went" lists them for each app.

When Framer is the better buy

Framer is a design tool first: pages are laid out on a canvas with animation and effects, its agents design, write and translate alongside you, and a CMS, localization and A/B testing come with the plans or as add-ons. For a portfolio, a landing page or a startup's marketing site, Basic gives you your own domain and 50 GB of bandwidth for $15 a month ($10 a month less than Fabricate's Pro), or $10 billed yearly, and the free plan puts a site online at a Framer address. On Fabricate, Free builds and previews, and going live needs Pro.

If you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, building in Framer through them over MCP uses none of Framer's credits. For a site people look at and read, rather than an app they sign in to, Framer is the better fit. We make Fabricate, so we say this part plainly.

Questions people ask

Framer's answers come from its own pages, read October 25, 2026. Fabricate's come from our live plans.

Is Framer free?
Yes, to start. The free plan costs $0, with 500 AI credits to try the agents, a site at a Framer address, 1 GB of bandwidth, up to 1,000 pages and 10 CMS collections. Framer recommends it for non-commercial use, and your own domain needs Basic, at $15 a month or $10 billed yearly.
How much does Framer cost?
Basic is $15 a month and Pro $45 for each site, or $10 and $30 a month billed yearly, and Enterprise is priced through sales. Extra editors cost $30 a month ($20 billed yearly) and content editors $15 ($10), and add-ons cost more: $25 a month for each extra language ($20 yearly), or $60 per 500,000 events for A/B testing ($50).
How does Framer AI pricing work?
Every plan includes AI credits for Framer's agents: 500 to try on Free, 1,000 a month on Basic and 3,000 on Pro, pooled across a workspace's sites. By Framer's estimates on its default model, a landing page takes about 300 credits and a small edit about 50. More come from the AI Credits add-on and, once that is used, one-time top-ups.
Do Framer AI credits roll over?
No. A plan's credits renew on its billing date, and unused ones don't carry into the next cycle. One-time top-ups expire at the end of the calendar month you buy them, and add-on credits are removed as soon as you cancel the add-on.
Does Framer include a custom domain?
On Basic and Pro, yes: connecting your own domain is free, and billing yearly includes a complimentary domain. On the free plan, a site stays at a Framer address.
What happens if a Framer site goes over its limits?
For most limits, Framer asks you to upgrade. Bandwidth can run over for one month, with an email so you can upgrade. On Pro, add-ons raise the limits as far as 700 pages, 40 CMS collections, 40,000 CMS items and 2 TB of bandwidth.
Can I build in Framer with Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Framer works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other AI tools over MCP, and because that AI runs in your own tool, on your own Claude or OpenAI subscription, it uses none of your Framer credits.
Does Framer give refunds?
Within 7 days of the first purchase anywhere, or 14 days in the European Union and Turkey, says Framer's help center; after that, refunds are generally not available. Downgrading before a term ends turns the unused value into account credit for future invoices, and a cancelled plan stays active to the end of the term.
Is Framer cheaper than Webflow?
For a small site, yes: Framer Basic is $15 a month ($10 billed yearly) against Webflow Basic's $25 ($15). For a site with a large CMS it isn't: Framer Pro, at $45 ($30), costs more than Webflow Premium at $39 ($25), which includes 20,000 CMS items to Pro's 2,500. An extra editor costs $30 a month on Framer ($20 yearly) and $45 on Webflow ($39).
What happens when Fabricate credits run out?
Nothing is lost: your apps stay in your account, and apps on a paid plan stay online. You can upgrade, or wait until your credits refill next month. On Pro and Max you can also buy extra credits, which never expire: 100 for $10, 300 for $27, 600 for $51, 1,000 for $80, 2,500 for $185, 5,000 for $350 or 10,000 for $650.
