Replit's paid plans come with monthly credits: Core's pricing card describes them as "$20 towards more powerful models" and Pro's as "$100 towards most powerful models", and Replit's docs add that the same credits pay for publishing, network transfer, database storage and AI integrations. Free Mode, on top, does everyday Agent work at no extra cost within an allowance that refreshes every five hours on Core and Pro; Starter gets a daily cap. Power and Max modes use the credits, priced by effort: one checkpoint per request, so a small fix costs less than a full feature, and Replit asks before a paid action starts. When the Agent uses another company's AI, such as Claude or Gemini, that is billed from your credits at the provider's public API rate.
The same credits pay for publishing. An Autoscale app costs $2 a month plus $0.60 per million compute units and $0.40 per million requests; Replit's example, a small business site with 75,000 requests a month, comes to about $2.39. A Reserved VM runs from $15 to $130 a month, and a static site is free to host apart from $0.05 per GB sent. Production databases bill the same way, by compute time and storage, and once the month's credits are used up, all of these are charged as you go.
Core's unused credits don't roll over; Pro's roll over for two months. Credit packs on Core and Pro run from $100 to $1,000 of credits, with up to $50 off, and expire six months after you buy them. A usage limit caps what you spend beyond your credits.
Each of Replit's plans beside Fabricate's plan closest in price. Each tool counts credits its own way, so compare what a month buys, not the number on the plan.

A month: $100
Replit
Pro · $100
$100 of monthly credits, plus more Free Mode, with larger tiers at a discount
Fabricate
Max · $100
1,750 credits a month
Enough for about 75 new apps or 195 changes. Any number of apps online, up to 20 of your own domains.
Most of a month's credits go on changes, not the first build. Here is an example month on one app, drawn against Pro's 350 credits, and a way to price your own.
An example month: one app and 30 changes
One exception: on Pro and Max, when your app uses AI for its visitors, answering them or reading documents they upload, each use is paid from your credits. Serving the app itself never is.
Estimate your month
New apps: 1, Changes: 30. About 290 credits a month
Pro at $25 covers it
The plan price is the easy part. These four decide what a month really comes to.
ReplitUsage carries on and is billed as you go once the month's credits are used up, up to any usage limit you set. At the limit, paid services stop until the next billing cycle.
FabricateOn Pro and Max, extra credits start at $10 for 100 and never expire, and apps on a paid plan stay online when credits run out.
ReplitConnect a domain you bought elsewhere in the app's publishing settings, and HTTPS is set up for you.
FabricatePro connects up to 5 domains you own and Max up to 20, with the secure padlock set up for you.
ReplitBilled. An Autoscale app pays $2 a month plus compute and requests, about $2.39 for 75,000 requests a month in Replit's example, from your credits first and then as you go.
FabricateNot billed. Serving your published app never touches your credits.
ReplitFrom Core, Replit AI Integrations let your app call AI models without your own keys, paid from your credits.
FabricateOn Pro and Max, each AI answer your app gives and each document it reads is paid from your credits, and "Where your credits went" lists them for each app.
Replit is a fuller workspace: the code, a terminal and a database are there to work in yourself, and it builds phone apps it can send to the App Store. Free Mode lets Core and Pro subscribers keep building without spending credits, within an allowance that refreshes every five hours, and Core costs $5 a month less than Fabricate's Pro.
Pro runs up to 10 agents at once for up to 15 collaborators, with credits that roll over for two months. If you or your team write code, Replit is the better fit. We make Fabricate, so we say this part plainly.

About this guide
Fabricate wrote this guide, and we make one of the two tools in it. Replit's prices are copied from its own pages with the day we read them; Fabricate's come from the same settings that bill you.
The pages we read about each tool are listed here, each with the day we read it. We compared the tools from their own pricing pages and documentation, not by signing up for them. Spotted something out of date? Write to info@fabricate.build.
