What it does well
Write down each module and lesson on Kajabi, with its text, its video link and any quiz.
Put each lesson video on YouTube or Vimeo, with the privacy setting you want, and keep its link.
Describe the lessons, the quizzes, how students pay and what they see when they finish.
Sign up, buy the course with a Stripe test card, finish a lesson and take a quiz in the preview.
On Pro, one press of Publish gives it its own address to share, after the same browser check.

Kajabi puts courses, a website, email contacts and a community in one plan, and takes no share of your revenue. Basic is $179 a month billed monthly, or $143 billed yearly, for 5 products and 2,500 contacts.
That price buys the whole set. If you only need the course, LearnWorlds starts at $29 a month with a $5 fee for each paid enrollment, Teachable at $39 with a 7.5% fee, Podia's Mover at $49 with a 5% fee, and Thinkific at $109 with no free plan.
A creator who wants a website, an email list and a community from the same company is the one Kajabi is built for. A creator with one course to sell needs less, and a fee on each sale can cost more than a higher monthly price once sales grow.
A course platform built with Fabricate is your own web app: student sign-in, modules and lessons, quizzes, progress and a teacher view. On Pro and Max, the app can take card payments through Stripe Checkout, paid into your own Stripe account, which you connect under More > Payments. Fabricate takes no share of what you are paid; Stripe charges its own card fees. Fabricate does not host video, so lessons show videos from YouTube or Vimeo, and email lists and newsletters are not built in.

About this guide
Written by the Fabricate team. Fabricate is our product, so it is first on this page and marked "We make this". Where a reason to switch fits another tool better, the reason says which.
Each tool's card lists the pages we read about it and the day we read them. We compared the tools from their own pricing pages and documentation, not by signing up for them. Spotted something out of date? Write to info@fabricate.build.
