For auto repair shops

Describe your auto repair shop app. Fabricate builds it.

Fabricate is an AI app builder for auto repair shops: describe your services, your bays and what you record about each car, and it builds a working web app for service booking, work orders and a repair status page, with its own database and a live link to share. The Free plan includes 60 credits a month and needs no credit card.

Try it yourself first, then ask for changes in the same chat.

Auto repair apps you can start from

Choose one and the builder opens with its description filled in. Change any word before you build.

Service booking page

Customers choose a service, a drop-off time and enter their vehicle.

A booking website for my auto repair shop. Customers choose a service (oil change, brakes, diagnosis, tires or other), a drop-off date and time, and enter the vehicle make, model and year, a description of the problem, their name and phone number. No account needed to book. Only I can sign in, and I see all bookings for the week and can cancel or move one.

Work order tracker

Each job from check-in to pickup, with the mechanic, the work and the parts.

A work order app for my auto repair shop. Each work order has a job number, the customer, the vehicle, the complaint, the mechanic assigned, the work done, the parts used with a price for each and a status of checked in, diagnosing, waiting for parts, in progress or ready for pickup. Mechanics join with an invite code I give them and update the work orders assigned to them. I see every open work order by status.

Vehicle service history

Every visit for each car, searchable by plate, VIN or owner.

A vehicle history app for my auto repair shop. For each vehicle: owner name, phone number, make, model, year, license plate, VIN, mileage at each visit and a history of every job with the date, the work done and the total. Mechanics join with an invite code I give them; nobody else can create an account. Search by plate, VIN or owner name.

Repair status page

Customers enter their job number and phone number to see where their car is.

A repair status page for my auto repair shop. A customer enters their job number and the phone number on the job and sees only that job's status (checked in, diagnosing, waiting for parts, in progress or ready for pickup) and the last note I added. No customer account needed. Mechanics join with an invite code I give them and update the status and the note.

Where the shop week goes

The repair is the work. The phone calls about it are the interruption.

"Is my car ready yet?"

Customers call to ask for a status, and each call takes someone out from under a car.

Work orders on clipboards

The complaint, the diagnosis and the parts ordered are written on paper that moves around the shop.

History that walks out the door

What was done to a car last time is in someone's memory or a filing cabinet.

Shop software with a long contract

Shop management systems bundle parts catalogs and accounting you may already have elsewhere.

What your shop app comes with

Sign-in for your mechanics

Ask for mechanic logins that join by your invite, so only your team sees work orders and customer details. Customers book without an account.

Its own database

Work orders, vehicles and customers are saved in the app's own database and are still there tomorrow.

A live link to share

Publish and the app gets its own address, like your-garage.fabricate.chat, for your website, your sign or a text to a customer.

Your own domain

On Pro and Max, connect a domain you already own, like yourgarage.com.

Changes in plain words

Add a service, a status or a field on the work order by asking in the chat, the same way you described the app.

Works on a phone

Apps are built for phones and tablets as well as laptops, so the work order is in the bay.

Questions from repair shops

Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the app in your own words and Fabricate builds it. To change something, you ask in the chat the same way.
Can customers check on their car without calling?
Yes, if you ask for it. Describe a status page where a customer enters their job number and phone number and sees only that job's status. Test it with two made-up jobs before you share the link.
Can it text customers when the car is ready or take payment?
Not on its own. Fabricate does not send text messages or take card payments for you. The app can list the cars marked ready for pickup with each customer's phone number, so the call or text is quick to make yourself. One thing it does do: once your app is published, every booking, order or enquiry a customer sends through it is kept under Responses in Fabricate, and you get an email for each one, up to a daily limit.
Does it include a parts catalog or connect to my accounting?
No. The app keeps the parts and prices you enter on each work order. It does not look up parts or connect to your accounting software, so keep using those for ordering and bookkeeping.
Who can see customer and vehicle details?
Only the people you choose, if you ask for that when you describe the app: say that only you can sign in, or that mechanics join with an invite code you give them. A sign-in that anyone can register for does not keep customer names, phone numbers and vehicle details private. On Free, anyone with the link can open the app itself, so keep those details behind that owner or invite-only sign-in. On Pro and Max you can make the whole app private.
Will my test work orders show up in the live app?
No. Publishing gives the live app a fresh database of its own, so the test entries you made in the preview stay behind.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Max. On Free, a published app gets its own free address on fabricate.chat.
What does it cost?
You can start on Free, which includes 60 credits a month and needs no card. A whole new app usually takes about 20 to 35 credits and a small change about 3 to 10 credits. Current plans are on the pricing page.
