For driving schools

Describe your driving school app. Fabricate builds it.

Fabricate is an AI app builder for driving schools and instructors: describe your lessons, your instructors and the skills each student works on, and it builds a working web app for lesson booking and student progress, with its own database and a live link to share. The Free plan includes 60 credits a month and needs no credit card.

Try it yourself first, then ask for changes in the same chat.

Driving school apps you can start from

Lesson booking page

Students choose a lesson type and a free time with an instructor.

A booking website for my driving school. Students choose a lesson type (first lesson, standard lesson or test preparation), an instructor or no preference, a date and a free time slot, and leave their name, phone number, pickup address and permit number. No account needed to book. Only I can sign in, and I see all lessons for the week and can cancel or move one.

Student progress tracker

A skills checklist for each student, filled in after each lesson.

A progress tracker for my driving school students. Instructors join with an invite code I give them and, after each lesson, rate each skill (steering, mirrors, parking, roundabouts, highway driving) as not started, practicing or mastered, with a note. Students join with a different invite code I give them and see only their own progress and notes. Show which students are close to test ready.

Instructor and car schedule

Each lesson with an instructor and a car, with clashes flagged.

A schedule app for my driving school. I book each lesson to an instructor and a car with a date, a time and the student. Instructors join with an invite code I give them and see their own lessons for the week with each pickup address. Warn me when an instructor or a car is double-booked.

Lesson package balance

How many prepaid lessons each student has left.

An app to track prepaid lesson packages for my driving school. For each student I record the packages they bought, for example ten lessons, and each lesson taken, and show how many lessons are left. Only I can sign in. List the students with two or fewer lessons left.

Where the driving school week goes

Lessons happen in the car. The arranging happens everywhere else.

Lessons arranged by text

Students and parents ask for times by message, and every reschedule is another thread.

Progress in the instructor's head

Which skills a student has mastered, and which need work, is rarely written down.

Instructors and cars to schedule

Each lesson needs an instructor and a car, and a clash is found on the morning.

Prepaid lesson packages

Students buy blocks of lessons, and the count of what is left lives in a notebook.

What your driving school app comes with

Sign-in for students and instructors

Ask for student logins and instructor logins that each join by an invite code you give them, so each student sees only their own lessons and progress.

Its own database

Lessons, students and progress notes are saved in the app's own database and are still there tomorrow.

A live link to share

Publish and the app gets its own address, like your-driving.fabricate.chat, for your website, your car or a text to a student.

Your own domain

On Pro and Max, connect a domain you already own, like yourdrivingschool.com.

Changes in plain words

Add a lesson type, a skill or an instructor by asking in the chat, the same way you described the app.

Works on a phone

Apps are built for phones as well as laptops, so the progress note is written before the next lesson.

Questions from driving schools

Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the app in your own words and Fabricate builds it. To change something, you ask in the chat the same way.
Can students book lessons themselves?
Yes, if you ask for it. Describe your lesson types, their length and when your instructors teach, and Fabricate builds a booking page where students pick a time and leave their details. Make a few test bookings yourself before you share the link.
Can it take payment or send lesson reminders?
Not on its own. Fabricate does not take card payments or send text messages for you. The app can show tomorrow's lessons with each student's phone number and how many prepaid lessons are left, so reminders and payment requests are quick to send yourself. One thing it does do: once your app is published, every booking, order or enquiry a customer sends through it is kept under Responses in Fabricate, and you get an email for each one, up to a daily limit.
Who can see student details?
Only the people you choose, if you ask for that when you describe the app: say that only you can sign in, or that students and instructors join with an invite code you give them. A sign-in that anyone can register for does not keep student names, phone numbers, pickup addresses and permit numbers private. On Free, anyone with the link can open the app itself, so keep those details behind that owner or invite-only sign-in. On Pro and Max you can make the whole app private.
Will my test lessons show up in the live app?
No. Publishing gives the live app a fresh database of its own, so the test entries you made in the preview stay behind.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Max. On Free, a published app gets its own free address on fabricate.chat.
What does it cost?
You can start on Free, which includes 60 credits a month and needs no card. A whole new app usually takes about 20 to 35 credits and a small change about 3 to 10 credits. Current plans are on the pricing page.
