For accountants and bookkeepers

Describe your accounting practice app. Fabricate builds it.

Fabricate is an AI app builder for accountants and bookkeepers: describe your clients, your services and your deadlines, and it builds a working web app for client intake, a client portal with a document checklist and a deadline tracker, with its own database and a live link to share. The Free plan includes 60 credits a month and needs no credit card.

Try it yourself first, then ask for changes in the same chat.

Client portal with document checklist

Each client sees what you still need from them and where their work stands.

A client portal for my accounting practice. Clients join with an invite code I give them and see only their own page: a checklist of the documents I need this year with each one marked needed or received, the status of their work (waiting on documents, in progress, ready to review or filed) and notes from me. I see every client, tick documents off as they arrive and see which clients are still missing documents.

New client intake form

New clients send their business details and services before the first call.

A new client intake form for my accounting practice. New clients enter their name, business name, business type, email, phone number, the services they need (bookkeeping, tax return, payroll or advisory), their year end and how they heard about me. No account needed. Only I can sign in, and I see every new inquiry and mark each one as new, call booked, signed up or declined.

Deadline tracker

Every client's filing and payment deadlines in one list, soonest first.

A deadline tracker for my accounting practice. For each client I add deadlines with a type (tax return, quarterly estimate, payroll filing, sales tax or other), a due date and the staff member responsible. Staff join with an invite code I give them. Show all deadlines in the next 30 days, soonest first, with overdue ones in red, and let staff mark each one as done.

Engagement tracker

The work in progress for every client, by service and stage.

A work-in-progress tracker for my accounting practice. Each engagement has a client, a service, a period, a stage of not started, waiting on client, in progress, review or done, the staff member assigned and notes. Staff join with an invite code I give them and see the engagements assigned to them. I see every engagement by stage and by staff member.

Where the practice week goes

The numbers are the work. Chasing what clients still owe you is the time sink.

Chasing missing documents

Every client is missing something different, and each reminder is a separate email.

Deadlines across every client

Filing dates, quarterly estimates and payroll deadlines sit in a spreadsheet one person maintains.

New clients by email thread

Onboarding means a back-and-forth to collect the same details from each new client.

Practice software for larger firms

Practice management suites are priced per seat and built for firms with an operations team.

What your practice app comes with

Sign-in for you and your clients

Ask for client logins that join by an invite code you give them, so each client sees only their own checklist and status.

Its own database

Clients, checklists, deadlines and notes are saved in the app's own database and are still there tomorrow.

A live link to share

Publish and the app gets its own address, like your-practice.fabricate.chat, for your website or an email to a client.

Your own domain

On Pro and Max, connect a domain you already own, like yourpractice.com.

Changes in plain words

Add a service, a checklist item or a deadline type by asking in the chat, the same way you described the app.

Works on a phone

Apps are built for phones as well as laptops, so clients can check what you still need on the go.

Questions from accountants and bookkeepers

Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the app in your own words and Fabricate builds it. To change something, you ask in the chat the same way.
Can clients send me their tax documents through it?
Keep using the secure file sharing you use today for tax documents, statements and ID. The portal shows each client a checklist of what you still need and what has arrived, and you tick items off as the files come in.
What should I not keep in it?
Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, tax returns and other documents with that kind of detail. Use the app for the checklist, the status and the deadlines, and keep sensitive records in the software and storage you use for them today.
Can it send reminders or invoices?
Not on its own. Fabricate does not send text messages or emails to your customers or take card payments for you. The app can list the clients who are still missing documents, with their email, so the reminder is quick to send yourself. One thing it does do: once your app is published, every booking, order or enquiry a customer sends through it is kept under Responses in Fabricate, and you get an email for each one, up to a daily limit.
Who can see client information?
Only the people you choose, if you ask for that when you describe the app: say that only you can sign in, or that clients join with an invite code you give them. A sign-in that anyone can register for does not keep client names, contact details and the status of their work private. On Free, anyone with the link can open the app itself, so keep those details behind that owner or invite-only sign-in. On Pro and Max you can make the whole app private.
Will my test clients show up in the live app?
No. Publishing gives the live app a fresh database of its own, so the test entries you made in the preview stay behind.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Max. On Free, a published app gets its own free address on fabricate.chat.
What does it cost?
You can start on Free, which includes 60 credits a month and needs no card. A whole new app usually takes about 20 to 35 credits and a small change about 3 to 10 credits. Current plans are on the pricing page.
