For caterers

Describe your catering app. Fabricate builds it.

Fabricate is an AI app builder for caterers: describe your menus, your events and what you prep, and it builds a working web app for catering inquiries, an event tracker and prep lists, with its own database and a live link to share. The Free plan includes 60 credits a month and needs no credit card.

Try it yourself first, then ask for changes in the same chat.

Catering inquiry and order form

Clients choose a menu, give the date and headcount, and list dietary needs.

A catering inquiry website for my catering business. Clients enter the event date, the start time, the venue address, the number of guests, the service style (drop-off, buffet or served), the menu items they want from my menu and any allergies or dietary needs, and leave their name, phone number and email. No account needed. Only I can sign in, and I see every inquiry and mark each one as new, quoted, confirmed or declined.

Event tracker

Every confirmed event with its menu, headcount, staff and status.

An event tracker for my catering business. Each event has the client, the date, the venue, the headcount, the menu, the dietary needs, the staff assigned and a status of confirmed, final numbers in, prepped or done. Staff join with an invite code I give them and see the events they are assigned to. I see upcoming events by date and events still waiting on final numbers.

Prep and shopping list

Quantities to prep and buy, worked out from the menu and the headcount.

A prep list app for my catering business. I record each dish with its ingredients and the amount per guest. For each event the app multiplies by the headcount and shows a prep list by dish, and a shopping list that adds up the ingredients for all events in the next seven days. Only I can sign in, and staff join with an invite code I give them.

Menu and packages page

Your menus and packages on one public page, linked to the inquiry form.

A menu website for my catering business. I enter menu items with a description, the dietary labels (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free) and a price per guest, and packages that group items. Only I can sign in to change them. The public page shows the packages and the menu by course, and a button that opens my inquiry form.

Where the catering week goes

The cooking is planned to the minute. The orders behind it often are not.

Inquiries without the details

A request for "food for about fifty" arrives without a date, a venue or any dietary needs.

Headcounts that keep changing

Final numbers and menu choices change in the last week, across calls and emails.

Allergies to get right

Dietary needs have to reach the kitchen and the serving team exactly as the client gave them.

Prep worked out by hand

Turning a menu and a headcount into a prep and shopping list is a spreadsheet job every time.

What your catering app comes with

Sign-in for your team

Ask for staff logins that join by your invite, so only your team sees events, clients and prices. Clients send an inquiry without an account.

Its own database

Inquiries, events, menus and prep lists are saved in the app's own database and are still there tomorrow.

A live link to share

Publish and the app gets its own address, like your-catering.fabricate.chat, for your website, your bio or an email to a client.

Your own domain

On Pro and Max, connect a domain you already own, like yourcatering.com.

Changes in plain words

Add a menu, a package or a prep item by asking in the chat, the same way you described the app.

Works on a phone

Apps are built for phones and tablets as well as laptops, so the prep list is in the kitchen.

Questions from caterers

Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the app in your own words and Fabricate builds it. To change something, you ask in the chat the same way.
Can it handle allergies and dietary needs?
It can record them: ask for allergy and dietary fields on the inquiry form, and the app shows them on each event and its prep list. Confirm them with the client yourself; the app only shows what was entered.
Can it take deposits or send quotes?
Not on its own. Fabricate does not take card payments or send text messages or emails to your customers. The app can show each event's menu, headcount and price in one place, so your quote and deposit request are quick to send yourself. One thing it does do: once your app is published, every booking, order or enquiry a customer sends through it is kept under Responses in Fabricate, and you get an email for each one, up to a daily limit.
Who can see client and event details?
Only the people you choose, if you ask for that when you describe the app: say that only you can sign in, or that staff join with an invite code you give them. A sign-in that anyone can register for does not keep client names, contact details and event prices private. On Free, anyone with the link can open the app itself, so keep those details behind that owner or invite-only sign-in. On Pro and Max you can make the whole app private.
Will my test events show up in the live app?
No. Publishing gives the live app a fresh database of its own, so the test entries you made in the preview stay behind.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Max. On Free, a published app gets its own free address on fabricate.chat.
What does it cost?
You can start on Free, which includes 60 credits a month and needs no card. A whole new app usually takes about 20 to 35 credits and a small change about 3 to 10 credits. Current plans are on the pricing page.
