For retail stores

Describe your shop's inventory app. Fabricate builds it.

Fabricate is an AI app builder for independent shops and boutiques: describe your products, your suppliers and how you count stock, and it builds a working web app for inventory, stock counts and supplier orders, with its own database and a live link to share. The Free plan includes 60 credits a month and needs no credit card.

Try it yourself first, then ask for changes in the same chat.

Inventory tracker

Every product with its stock level, with low stock flagged.

An inventory app for my shop. For each product: name, SKU, category, supplier, cost price, selling price, stock on hand and a low-stock level. Staff join with an invite code I give them and can add stock when a delivery arrives or remove stock with a reason (sold, damaged or returned). Show products at or below their low-stock level at the top, and let me search by name or SKU.

Stock count sheet

Count each shelf on a phone and see the differences from the system.

A stock count app for my shop. I start a count, and staff join with an invite code I give them and enter the counted quantity for each product, grouped by category. When the count is finished, show the difference between the counted and the expected quantity for each product, and let me accept the count to update the stock levels.

Supplier order list

What to reorder from each supplier, and what is on its way.

A supplier ordering app for my shop. For each supplier: name, contact, email, phone number and the products I buy from them. Only I can sign in. Show a suggested order for each supplier from the products at or below their low-stock level, let me save it as a purchase order with a status of draft, sent or received, and add the stock when I mark it received.

Customer holds and special orders

Items set aside or ordered in for a customer, with a pickup-by date.

A customer holds app for my shop. Staff join with an invite code I give them and record items set aside or ordered for a customer, with the customer's name and phone number, the product, the quantity, a deposit taken if any, and a pickup-by date. Show holds that have passed their pickup date and mark each hold as waiting, arrived, collected or cancelled.

Where the shop week goes

Selling is the good part. Knowing what is on the shelf is the hard part.

Sold out before you noticed

The best seller runs out because nobody saw the shelf getting empty.

Stock counts on paper

Counting means clipboards, then an evening typing numbers into a spreadsheet.

Supplier orders from memory

What to reorder, from whom and how much lives in your head or your inbox.

Customer holds on sticky notes

Items set aside for a customer, and special orders, are tracked on notes behind the counter.

What your inventory app comes with

Sign-in for your staff

Ask for staff logins that join by your invite, so only your team sees stock, costs and suppliers.

Its own database

Products, stock levels, orders and holds are saved in the app's own database and are still there tomorrow.

A live link to share

Publish and the app gets its own address, like your-shop.fabricate.chat, for your staff to open on any device.

Your own domain

On Pro and Max, connect a domain you already own, like yourshop.com.

Changes in plain words

Add a product field, a category or a report by asking in the chat, the same way you described the app.

Works on a phone

Apps are built for phones and tablets as well as laptops, so you can count stock in the aisle.

Questions from shop owners

Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe the app in your own words and Fabricate builds it. To change something, you ask in the chat the same way.
Does it connect to my point of sale or online store?
Not on its own. The app keeps the stock you enter and adjust in it; it does not read sales from your till or your online store. Record sales or count regularly so the numbers stay right. One thing it does do: once your app is published, every booking, order or enquiry a customer sends through it is kept under Responses in Fabricate, and you get an email for each one, up to a daily limit.
Can customers buy from it online?
Not with payment. Fabricate does not take card payments or send text messages for you. The app can show your products and take a hold or special-order request that you confirm with the customer yourself.
Who can see stock and supplier details?
Only the people you choose, if you ask for that when you describe the app: say that only you can sign in, or that staff join with an invite code you give them. A sign-in that anyone can register for does not keep costs, supplier details and customer phone numbers private. On Free, anyone with the link can open the app itself, so keep those details behind that owner or invite-only sign-in. On Pro and Max you can make the whole app private.
Will my test products show up in the live app?
No. Publishing gives the live app a fresh database of its own, so the test entries you made in the preview stay behind.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on Pro and Max. On Free, a published app gets its own free address on fabricate.chat.
What does it cost?
You can start on Free, which includes 60 credits a month and needs no card. A whole new app usually takes about 20 to 35 credits and a small change about 3 to 10 credits. Current plans are on the pricing page.
